Specifically, under Decision No. 580/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister approved the election of Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc as the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee for the 2026–2031 term. Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc is Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term, and Chairman of the People’s Committee for the 2021–2026 term.
Under the decision, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2026–2031 term will have seven Vice Chairmen, namely Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh, Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong, Mr. Bui Minh Thanh, Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh, and Mr. Tran Van Bay, all of whom also served as Vice Chairmen in the previous term.
These approvals ensure continuity in Ho Chi Minh City’s executive leadership and provide a foundation for implementing the city’s strategic socio-economic goals for the 2026–2031 term.
