The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Dak Lak Province, on August 8, informed that it has been completing procedures and supporting enterprises and farmers to prepare the necessary conditions to export passion fruit to the Chinese market.

After a long time, the selling prices of dragon fruit had dropped dramatically, not enough for farmers to cover production costs, causing farmers in the Mekong Delta to suffer heavy losses, the prices of dragon fruit have rebounded in the past few days, but farmers do not have many dragon fruits left to sell.

Every year, the situation of fruits and agricultural products being jammed at Northern border gates usually happens before lunar New Year. The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) have recently put forward recommendations to prevent that situation from recurring this year.
