A ceremony was held in HCM City on July 20 in the presence of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc to mark the 20th anniversary of Vietnam’s stock market and the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE).
Forbes Vietnam has announced Vietnam’s 50 top listed companies for 2018, which account for 70.8 percent of total market capitalisation on the HCM and Hanoi stock exchanges.
Although May featured a downtrend for Vietnam’s stock market, market capitalisation still rose sharply and the market still has a good outlook in the long term, according to Chairman of the State Securities Commission of Vietnam Tran Van Dung.
Shares rebounded on the HCM Stock Exchange on November 1 as large-cap stocks returned to positive territory. The overall market trading conditions remained negative, however, and signaled more volatility in the near future.
