Landslide severely damages Mimosa Pass, cutting off key route to Da Lat

A powerful landslide struck Mimosa Pass early on November 20, sending thousands of cubic meters of earth and rock crashing down the mountainside and cutting off one of Da Lat’s vital gateways.

On the morning of November 20, at kilometer marker 226+700 on National Highway 20 through Mimosa Pass in Xuan Huong-Da Lat Ward, Lam Dong Province, a massive landslide left the scene in devastation.

Thousands of cubic meters of soil and rock slid down the mountainside, completely severing the main arterial route connecting Da Lat with surrounding areas.
