Traders in the Mekong Delta region have lately accelerated purchases of farm goods to export to China, causing the prices of much agricultural produce to increase sharply.
Economic experts said that the reopening of China after two years of implementing strict regulations will definitely create a boom in import and export activities between Vietnam- China.
Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable export turnover hit US$1.4 billion in the first five months of this year, down 17 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).
