The quantity of Vietnamese agricultural goods exported to China via border gates in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai has witnessed a significant upswing this year, surpassing figures from previous years.
Nearly 4,000 tons of cargo were customs-cleared in Hai Yen ward, Mong Cai city, in the northern province of Quang Ninh in the first two days of 2023, according to the management board of Mong Cai International Border Gate.
Total export turnover in the first quarter of 2022 reached US$88.58 billion, up 12.9 percent over the same period last year proving enterprises’ great efforts in recovering the economy. However, along with the above excitement, Many Vietnamese businesses are worried when foreign firms outdo local firms in exporting goods and service.
Minister Tran Tuan Anh of the Ministry of Industry and Trade said at a conference held on September 13 in Hanoi that the country will overcome difficulties and seek for solutions to sustainably export agricultural and aquatic products to China.
