Foreign doctors must have certification and be fluent in Vietnamese

Being responsible for managing  medical activities, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health  proposed to the National Assembly to soon pass the amended Law on Medical Examination and Treatment which stipulates that foreign doctors who want to practice medical examination and treatment in Vietnam must have to pass the practice exam; plus, they must be fluent in Vietnamese and speak Vietnamese when examining a patient.

The Government proposes that the National Assembly will not implement salary reform under Resolution No.27-NQ/TW in 2023, but from July 1, 2023, the base salary for officials, civil servants, and public officials will be raised to the level of VND1.8 million per month.
