The Vietnam Directorate of Market Surveillance under the Ministry of Industry and Trade has just announced a list of 11 companies being imposed administrative fines due to violations of petroleum business including maintaining petroleum reserve below the minimum level as regulated, importing gasoline below the minimum level in terms of quantity, annual allocated petroleum categories and so on.
Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, on July 29, signed and promulgated Official Dispatch No. 4436 requesting the Head of the Vietnam Directorate of Market Surveillance and the heads of the Market Surveillance Agency in municipalities to strengthen inspection and supervision of the market, ensuring the balance of supply and demand.
According to the plan which was announced, from the beginning of this week, the inspection team of the Ministry of Industry and Trade will pay visits to petroleum filling stations in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta.
