Two storms shaping up off the Philippine waters are affecting weather conditions in the southern parts of the East Sea, including Truong Sa (Spratly) Islands, with southwesterly winds of level 6-7 blowing at 39-61 kilometers an hour.
The first storm ‘Jelawat’ was centered 12.1 degrees north latitude and 128.9 degrees east longitude, about 700 kilometers southeast of Luzon Island in the Philippines by Sunday afternoon.
Wind gales of level 9-10 from near the center of the storm blew at 75-102 kilometers an hour.
The second storm is building up from a tropical low pressure zone east of the Philippine waters.
