The spring flower market themed ‘Tren ben duoi thuyen’ (At the wharf, on the boat) of the Lunar New Year 2023 officially opened.

The Hoan Kiem District People’s Committee opened a traditional flower market and is hosting an array of activities along the Phung Hung Street mural space to welcome the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday.

HCMC’s unique floating flower market is scheduled to open on January 27 (on the 25th day of the last lunar month). The flower market will take place on the Tau Hu-Ben Nghe canal along the streets of Ben Binh Dong and Nguyen Van Cua in District 8.

Purchasing demand of fresh flowers, floral products and fruit gifts from flower markets, supermarkets a day before International Women’s Day (March 8) increased by 30 percent to 40 percent compared to the previous days, notably the flower-delivery business continued to be on the rise. 

Tet (Vietnamese traditional New Year) brings its own bustling atmosphere in every corner of HCMC in these days. Overcoming a year of many challenges brought by the Covid-19 pandemic, the city is regaining. People join hands to bring a joyful and peaceful Tet in a new normal state with each together.
