The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training yesterday announced the admission criteria for the tenth grade in the 2022-2023 school year of 108 public high schools citywide. There is a big gap in qualifying scores between schools in the inner city and outlying districts.

On the morning of April 7, at the Conference on training and implementing enrollment in the first classes of the school year 2022-2023 organized by the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, many districts proposed deploying online enrollment software throughout the city in order to facilitate the local statistics on enrollment results.

In an effort to lure more good students to take up careers in teaching, the government issued Decree 116/2020, students in pedagogy schools will give VND3.63 million monthly as living expenses in addition to a fee exemption.

Pedagogy schools find it hard to attract more students though the government has made considerable efforts to lure good students including tuition fee exemption.
