The People’s Committee in Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi yesterday decided schools in 29 districts to shift classes online as Covid-19 cases increase.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, all residents must overcome all constraints, including mechanisms more than ever, and even thoughts on how to control and stamp out the epidemic as soon as possible, bring back a new normal life so that children can return to schools soon.
The People’s Committee of the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap on March 5 issued a decision on allowing pupils and students of kindergartens, high schools and vocational training schools in the border districts of Hong Ngu, Tan Hong and Hong Ngu City will return to schools next week, starting on March 8.
Today, The People’s Committee of HCMC announced that all public schools will remain closed until at February 28, as part of an effort to keep students, school staff and families safe from Covid-19.
Universities, schools at all grade levels, vocational training centers throughout HCMC have to close their classrooms and return to distance learning, starting from February 2.
Low-risk cities and provinces for the novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) can reopen schools only for ninth graders and twelve graders, said that Ministry of Education and Training at an online conference with departments countrywide yesterday.
