Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung yesterday appealed to people to remain vigilant to any anti-State propaganda and of anti-Party forces, and disregard the slanderous information posted on reactionary websites.
The Prime Minister’s appeal was carried in a government dispatch dated September 12, 2012 by the Government Office.
Accordingly, through reports from the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Information and Communication, the Central Committee on Propaganda and the Central Party Office, it is confirmed that some online websites like ‘Dan Lam Bao’, ‘Quan Lam Bao’, ‘Bien Dong’ and others posted slanderous, falsified information aimed at blackening the country’s leadership.
This is intended to incite the public to act against the Party and State, create distrust and fulfill evil intentions of the reactionary and hostile forces, the dispatch reads.
Prime Minister Dung has ordered Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, the government’s website and other news agencies to provide updated, objective and correct information to dispel such anti-State and anti-Party rumors.
The PM also instructed ministries, local agencies, leaders, officials, state employees not to read, not to use, and not to distribute information posted on reactionary websites.
The PM has ordered the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Information to investigate and strictly punish violators.
