The People’s Court in Vinh Yen Town in the northern province of Vinh Phuc on April 11 gave verdict on the labour dispute case between engineer Le Van Tach and Toyota Vietnam Company, favouring the latter’s action in disciplining Tach.
Previously, engineer Le Van Tach had sued the Toyota Vietnam Company for illegal disciplinary action against him.
Toyota Vietnam Company had taken disciplinary action against Tach after he had harassed the CEO of the company with a barrage of emails and letters, which are against the company’s labour laws.
The Court dismissed Tach’s law suit and did not accept his complaint, but instead asked him to pay for all legal costs.
The Court also said that Tach acted against the law by protesting about Toyota Vietnam’s labour regulations as these comply with Vietnam’s labour laws. Tach knew about these regulations, but still violated them.
Therefore, Tach’s protest is baseless.
Talking to a SGGP reporter, Tach said he did not accept the Court’s verdict and would pursue the matter at a higher Court.
