A heat wave blanketed the central coastal and south- and north-central regions May 13, the Central Hydrological and Meteorological Forecast Center said.
The mercury shot up to 37 degrees Celsius in northern provinces like Son La, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Dong Ha and Dong Hoi city.
It is forecast to hover in the high 30’s in most places, peaking at 39 degrees in some places.
