A charity music festival featuring local and foreign artists will take place at the American Club in Hanoi on May 8.
The 4th annual CAMA Festival 2010 once again boasts a host of local and international talent for fans of all tastes and ages.
The event is organized in partnership with Dance4life, an international initiative that involves in responding to the spread of HIV and AIDS as well as the stigma and taboos that surround it.
Dance4life uses dance, music and youth icons to attract young people and talk to them in their own language, encouraging them to learn more about HIV and AIDS and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
C.A.M.A. is a collective based in Hanoi bringing independent music to Vietnam. C.A.M.A. has been active in Hanoi since 2005 and has played a central role in bringing over 20 bands and DJs to Hanoi.
Artists featured on the mains stage include Queen Sea Big Shark (China), Dengue Fever (USA), Molice (Japan), Up Dharma Down (Philippines), Red Bantoo (Australia), and Vietnamese rock bands such as Ngu Cung (Pentatonic), Recycle, Big Toe-breakdance group, MC Kim and others.
In the CAMA DJ tent, sound magicians Tri Minh and Vu Nhat Tan from Vietnam, DJ Jase from Australia, Totti from the Philippines, and Charly B from France will perform.
All proceeds from CAMA Festival 2010 will go directly to support Dance4life’s activities in Vietnam.
