This instruction was given after Vietnam Sugar Association proposed against temporary import of sugar for re-export.

Mr. Hai asked the Committee to clarify both volume and value of sugar consignments being temporarily imported into Vietnam.

He also instructed Ministries of Industry and Trade, Finance, and Agriculture and Rural Development to send their opinion on the Association’s proposal to the Prime Minister.

The Government will give a final decision on this matter by May 20.
