The final round of Miss Vietnam 2012 will be held in the central coastal city of Da Nang, for which 40 contestants from across the country have gathered there to take part in various events.
Miss Vietnam Beauty Pageant 2012 themed ‘Confluence and Showcasing Beauty’ will be held in Da Nang from August 14-25 and will include various activities such as shooting, charity events and competitions for minor titles during the pageant.
Winners for the final round were selected after the semi-final rounds in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in early August.
Miss Vietnam 2012 will receive a crown and a cash prize of VND300 million (US$14,000). The first and second runners-up will take away cash prizes of VND150 million and VND100 million, respectively.
The organizers will also award titles in other categories such as Miss Talent, Miss Beach, Miss Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional dress), Miss Beautiful Face and Most Voted Miss.
The crowning ceremony will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television Channels VTV1 and VTV4 on August 25.
