Committee formed for Miss Ethnic Group

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has decided to establish a steering committee for the second Miss Vietnamese Ethnic Group.

Ho Anh Tuan, deputy minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has assigned Hoang Xuan Luong, deputy Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs as deputy head of the steering committee. Both men will be responsible for implementation of the contest.

The final round of the contest will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from June 26 to December 10 along with other social activities such as charity programs.

The pageant will be an opportunity for representatives of ethnic groups across Vietnam to interact on socio-cultural topics and learn more about each other.

The contest aims to honour the cultural heritage and traditional values of each ethnic minority group as well as praise the natural and intellectual beauty of ethnic girls.

Eligible contestants must be between the ages of 18 to 28 and living and working in Vietnam.
