The Fatherland Front Central Committee in Ho Chi Minh City has announced a donation of VND16.2 billion for victims of the recent storms in Central Vietnam.
From this amount, VND3.5 billion will go to the people in Quang Ngai Province, VND3 billion to people in Binh Dinh Province, VND700 million to Quang Ninh Province; while Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Quang Nam, Phu Yen, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thua Thien-Hue Provinces will receive VND1 billion each.
The Fatherland Front Committee has also organized two relief delegations of City leaders to visit and give gifts to people in the Central Provinces.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of HCMC, will lead the first group to visit people in Binh Dinh and Quang Ngai Provinces.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ranh, Head of Public Relations of the HCMC Party Committee, will lead the second group to visit and give gifts to people in Kon Tum and Gia Lai Provinces.
