Le Hoang Quan, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, received a delegation of 14 principals of Francophone Universities of the Réseau d’excellence des sciences de l’ingénieur de la Francophonie-RESIF (Network of Excellence in Engineering Sciences of the French-speaking Community) on November 19.
The group was led by Professor Aebisher, President of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne.
The City Chairman highly appreciated the inauguration of the Center Asiatique de Recherche sur l’Eau (Asian Center for Water Research) at the HCMC University of Technology and the 2nd science conference held by RESIF.
The center will help the municipal authorities to attain effective research on impacts of climate change.
Mr. Le Hoang Quan hoped that the City Government will cooperate with francophone universities for research and find solutions for resolving traffic problems, improving water resource, and facing climate change.
