6th European-Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival opens

The 6th European-Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival featuring European and South East Asian films has been taking place in Hanoi on June 4-12 and in Ho Chi Minh City on June 21-29.

European documentaries are La Maison de la radio of France, Gaelle of Spain, Dreams of a life from the UK, Boleslaw Matuszewski-The Unknown Pioneer of Cinema from Poland, Forget me not of Germany, Tzvetanka of Sweden and Bulgaria, The Human Scale of Denmark.

 

The Vietnam National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio will present nine works including Khi khong the vuot qua chinh minh (When you can not overcome yourself), Nguoi Giu Lua (Fire Keeper), Dong Dat Song Than, Tham Hoa Khon Luong (Tsunami, Earthquake – Immeasurable Disasters); Dinh A Mu Sung (Mount A Mu Sung); Co Xanh Im Lang (The Silent Grass); Hai Phia Cuoc Doi (Two Sides of a Life); Triet Gia Tran Duc Thao (Philosopher Tran Duc Thao); Dau Neo Ve Con Xa (Hard Road Home); and Dao Sac Phong (Royal Recognition Decree).

 

The festival also introduce documentaries by young filmmakers from Southeast Asia, Where I go (Cambodia), Behind the screen (Myanmar), Another Color TV (Indonesia), Consider (Thailand), Madame Phung’s last Journey (Vietnam).

 

The film fest is co-organized by the European cultural institutes and embassies in Vietnam together with the Vietnam National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio.
