2013 Vietnamese Talent Award winners announced

The 2013 Vietnamese Talent Award ceremony was held at the Cultural Friendship Palace in Hanoi on November 20.

The first prize in the category of information technology went to Centech Communication Joint Stock Company for their product ‘Mobile Advertising Network’.

The first prize in the field of applied sciences went to Professor Ho Chin and his co-workers for their research on the natural characteristics and resources of the Dong Thap Muoi Region, an inland wetland in the Mekong Delta from 1980-1987.

Works on industrial waste treatment for rural environmental protection, and classifying and turning waste into organic fertilizer for agriculture were awarded first prize in the field of environment.

In the category of health, Dr Nguyen Viet Tien, Director of the Central Obstetrics Hospital and Deputy Minister of Health was granted first prize for his research work on the application of advanced technologies in the treatment of infertility in Vietnam.
Every first-prize winner will receive a cash prize of VND100 million.

State leaders including Nguyen Thien Nhan, President of Vietnam Fatherland Front, newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister Vo Duc Dam, and former Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu, attended the annual awards ceremony.
